Caracol is excited to announce it will introduce a Stratasys Fortus 450 in its production center in Barlassina (MB), Italy, to continue pushing innovation in advanced industrial manufacturing.

The Italian additive manufacturing player and producer of large format systems, Heron AM, is investing in expanding its production capabilities to continue offering parts production for its clients in the most advanced sectors, including aerospace, energy, and automotive.

Thanks to partners like Stratasys and Overmach Additive the company is set to continue driving innovation in manufacturing through 3D printing: combining Caracol’s strength in design for additive manufacturing tools and topological optimization with the best hardware for the manufacturing of advanced polymeric parts.

Caracol is working with leading companies in the aeronautics and space sectors and will be using this machine to manufacture finished parts for flight with materials such as Ultem 9085. Working in accordance with the AS/EN 9100 certification achieved for its production center, the company is sure to meet its client’s most stringent requirements.

“This is one of a series of investments Caracol has been doing to consolidate its leadership as an AS/EN 9100 certified company for the supply of additively manufactured Aerospace parts. Our approach has always been application-first in everything we do. That is why complementing our proprietary HERON AM Large Format AM platform with the certified Industrial 3D Printing technology developed by Stratasys on small-mid size components production, we allow us to offer an even more holistic range of solutions for advanced industries like Aerospace” says Francesco De Stefano, Caracol’s CEO and Co-founder.
