As an Application Engineering Project Specialist Junior, you will be a key asset in ensuring the efficient planning and management of projects assigned to you. Leveraging your background in product design, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will help you navigate challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and products.

Few examples of responsibilities:

  • Product Design: Work on finished parts (non-creative) and tooling for various industries, including Automotive, Aerospace, Architecture & Construction, Industrial, Art & Design, and Marine.
  • Engineering and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Activities on acquired orders for both On-Demand Projects and Technology Benchmarks, including:
    • Material selection and high-level printing strategy recommendation.
    • Redesign for Additive Manufacturing activities, CAD activities, and engineering activities on projects.
    • Interface with Operations to coordinate the final printing strategy.
  • Daily management of operative tasks and coordination with internal stakeholders and the Project Manager.

 

Ideal Background:

  • Degree in Industrial Design/Product Design or a similar field.
  • No prior experience in the role is necessary, but up to one year is preferred.
  • 3D modeling (required software: SolidWorks, Fusion, Rhinoceros).
  • At least basic knowledge of materials.
  • Academic knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (practical experience is nice to have).
  • Nice to have: experience with Grasshopper software.
  • Perseverance and curiosity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork predisposition, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability to travel.
  • English Language Proficiency is mandatory.
  • A portfolio of projects is required within the CV.
